hey,
I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm not getting into school until next January, but I don't want that to discourage me. I'm going to school for nursing, so I want to get a job in the meantime that I can do that is related to that. Currently I'm a full time nanny and bartender. I'm thinking I should quit them, and get into something that has to do with hospitals and such. I dont want it to be a waste of time, low paying job, so please keep that in mind too?
If you are thinking about getting a nursing job, you will have to start with a low pay first since you don't seem like you have any experience. The nursing field is very compatitive and most of the time those people who plan on these majors don't think about money first. So I advice you to do volunteer at hospitals, internships and all that, just to give you a little experience and then you can figure out from there. You might get a job, but if you are thinking that getting a low paying job in nursing is a waste of time, then I don't think it is the right major for you.
