Writing a Master Thesis about destructive cults: What would be interesting questions to ask?

I'm doing it with an emphasis on the People's Temple. I'm doing it as a plain text study due to different reasons, but what would be interesting points of view, questions to ask or books or articles to read?



You could write about Christianity. It originated as a illegal cult. As far as destructive, I believe more people have been killed "in the name of god" than any other group, person, or entity.
