Which in your opinion is a better college LSU or Texas A

Just trying to gather a little information on both as a Junior in high school looking into colleges. I live in Texas but my dad lives in Louisiana so i'm pretty sure i get instate for both. I've also compiled some pro's and con's of my own.

LSU

Pros: Great football team, stadium, social life

Is becoming a better school from what i've heard, inexpensive

Has a good mass communications program(i'd like to major in either psychology or journalism)

Cons:

Far from home(might not be a bad thing)

Won't know many people there

Texas A&M: Closer to home

Have cousins who go there, would have roommate

cool traditions

Ranked high in US news rankings.

Cons:

I've rooted for the longhorns most my life(not that that matters)

I'm a moderate liberal.

seems almost like a cult type student body

It depends on your attitude. LSU is a better school than Texas A&M, from all I've heard. But if you go into it thinking, "Oh, it's going to be so lonely, and I'll never get over my homesickness," you are probably going to be right. If, on the other hand, you look at college as a new adventure, with opportunities to meet new people and become your own person, rather than clinging to people you knew before, you could have a great experience there. I can tell you that I had two cousins at my college when I went there, and I saw only one of them the whole time I was there, and that one exactly once. Not that your cousins and roommate might not be good people, but this is a chance to branch out and make more friends, not retreat to the familiar. I would definitely give LSU a try.

Texas A&M. has a huge and welcoming student body. and its ranked really high compared to LSU. i mean its very conservative. but you'll def find people who are different and diversity is growing at A&M. that is just my opinion i'm out of state and going to A&M in the fall.

LSU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
