I don%26#039;t see any grants.. that%26#039;s what appears in my college account in the financial aid section.. would that be because I clicked yes on loans/workstudy on fafsa.. I didn%26#039;t want any loans or work study, but I clicked yes just in case if the grant was too low then I could use some loans as well...





Why would you say they didn%26#039;t offer me any loans.. here is my fafsa results..

Why would you say this happened, my dad earns less than 54k a year and we are a family of 9, shouldn%26#039;t I have gotten at least a small grant.. I also worked and earned around 10k.. but we still make too little for a family of 9.. how could this have happened?

Your SAR clearly states that you are NOT eligible for grants. It has nothing to do with being a Perm. Resident as both US citizens and green card holders are equal under FAFSA.


Simply put the the govt thinks your parent make too much for you receive grants.


You can file an appeal with the Fin. Aid office of your school which will require you to submit proof of illness( father) and family size.
