This question is a part 2 from one I asked a few months ago. In part one, I explained that I unknowingly had to pay the $55.00 just for filling out and signing the online application undergrad form. Fine, I paid them and I thought that was it.
Now they are billing me again and not even telling me WHY. I am having someone help me with this.
Do you know why they could be billing me again? I told them to delete my online application form and leave me alone. I don't even intend on going to that school so why do they keep billing me?
I have asked the school repeatedly why they keep billing me and they never answer. They can't just go around billing people like that?
I have contacted a lawyer to see why the school keeps on harassing me. I really thought that the $55.00 was a one time entrance fee-for filling out the application form.
I have not signed up for any classes, all I did was fill out that one form-part of it. I have not signed up for anything. I haven't even BEEN to that school.
Please anyone reply and let me know what I can do.
sounds SHADY! My school did some similar things to me...stick with the lawyer. If I could afford a lawyer I would have hired one my freshman year. Keep all of the paperwork they send you, keep copies of any forms you filled out for them, as well as any emails or letters that you sent them that say that show that you told them you weren't enrolled, and had no intention of enrolling etc...keep any letters or emails that they send you...KEEP EVERYTHING, and follow through with that lawyer. It may sound extreme, but all of these universities are experiencing deficits and are getting pretty shady with their money dealings these days. I know I sound paranoid, but the money stuff is no joke. If they say that you owe them money, and you don't pay it, they can put a lock on your account with them (even if you say you didn't register with them), they can put a lock on whatever account they claim to have for you that will prevent you from enrolling in other universities. They'll say that you owe them money, and that they're withholding all of your information until you pay it, and you won't be able to register for classes with them until it's paid, and you won't be able to register at other universities because it will show up in your records that you were registered with this first university and they'll want a transcript from that first univeresity, which you won't be able to get for several obvious reasons...so...follow through with that lawyer and don't give up until you get answers.
