High School Diploma vs GED?

I know a high school diploma is better than a GED, but I'm 2 years behind school basically. I know nothing is an excuse for that, just these past two years [im a senior] ive been really depressed and also really sick. I was in the hospital for awhile when I was sick in grade 11 so I when got out there was no way I could have gotten the credits due to how much time I've missed. In grade 12 [this year] its different, I've been sick again the doctors don't know what it was, they thought I had the german measles but it wasn't.





Gah Anyways... I'm moving to the states this June. I looked at the University in the town I'll be moving to. It says they DO take students who have a GED.





So I was wondering, should I just get a GED instead of spending about 2 years getting my Diploma?

you should definitely get your high school diploma, i know its a pain in the *** but in a few years you will be glad you didn't settle for a GED




Listen Holly, and by no means am I trying to offend you. BUT... I was in your exact position, I was suppose to graduate in 2005 but got my ged because I was two years behing my graduating class. Its the biggest mistake I ever made. I am in college now so I have decided to move forward from my mistakes HOWEVER life entails getting up in the morning and going some where you would rather not be. That will never change and if you can't handle it now ask yourself "will I actually get up for college?"




It is best to called your college of choice about it, since they're the one who know what good or not, asking a quesiton on yahoo answer about it is a very bad gamble..




or go to a community college
