Can I cancel my statement of intent to register (SIR) sent to UC Merced?

I received my acceptance letter to U.C. Merced, and without even THINKING, my parents had me sign the SIR and mailed it the next day to attend Merced. (Sheesh! We have until May 1st still -_-)

But now we are trying to appeal for Berkeley/Davis, and if I get accepted to either one of these schools, what happens now that I already sent in my SIR for Merced?

Is there a way to cancel it? Is there a charge for canceling? We already paid the $100 to submit it too.

Don't worry, you've just lost 100 bucks.. an SIR is a "statement of intent to register, not registering, so, just don't register when the time comes over the summer.
